Arsenal legend, Wright hails Conte over Moses transformation

Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright has showered encomium on Chelsea manager Antonio Conte for the emergence of an impressive Nigerian wing-back Victor Moses so far this season.

The Nigeria international has featured for the Blues in all games starting five times and has made a further five appearances from the substitutes’ bench this season so far in all competitions.

Chelsea right-wing-back Moses has was also on target in the Blues wins over Burnley, Bristol Rovers and Leicester City this term. According to the former Gunners legend, the 25 year old has shown strength and the ability to perform in a new role.

“You have to give credit to Antonio Conte for the Victor Moses emergence as well,” Wright told BBC Radio Five Live’s 606 show.

“He has seen something in him where as a right-wing-back and playing that role with the strength and the ability he has got.”

The Blues will face West Ham on Wednesday in the English Football League Cup before making a trip to Saint Mary's to take on Southampton in their next Premier League game on Sunday.

The Blues are in fourth place and a point behind Premier League leaders Manchester City after nine top-flight games.
